8×8 tailored its new receptionist function for the hybrid workforce.
Companies can use the feature to delegate any user to act as the frontdesk. The solution is device-agnostic and location-independent.

Cisco is helping partners customize their PSTN offerings.
An integration with IntelePeer helped add the cloud-connected PSTN capability to Webex Control Hub. Partners can perform automated ordering and provisioning new lines.
Cisco has also made Webex Calling part of its Webex Suite.

The UCaaS provider will give its video offerings Dynamic End-to-end Encryption (E2EE).

The hyperscaler bolstered its cloud contact center offering. Amazon Connect now features connected knowledge repositories, voice-based biometrics and outbound communications.
Salesforce is integrating Slack across more aspects of its business.
Salesforce officially bought Slack in July, and the integration began in August. Most recently, it has integrated slack with the commerce, experience, platform, Trailhead, MuleSoft and Quip sectors of its business.

Microsoft customers can fully eliminate their passwords.
Microsoft earlier this year introduced an option to go passwordless, but the new update lets users completely remove their passcode from their account.
Microsoft‘s corporate vice president of security, compliance and identity said weak passwords comprise the majority of entry points for attacks.

ServiceNow announced its third Teams integration partnership.
The Now Platform Rome update features a modern intranet solution that integrates with Teams. In addition, ServiceNow’s Employee Center lets workers access personalized information.

Palo Alto Networks has integrated SD-WAN into its SASE offering.
The cybersecurity provider last year bought SD-WAN provider CloudGenix. Now its updated Prisma SASE solution combines its Access solution and SD-WAN.

PlanetOne‘s new offering allows its broker partners to access deep insights about their business.
The Arizona-based sourcing firm launched a platform called Sentient, which allows partners to view the full life cycle of their deals. Moreover, Sentient consolidates data from all the parties involved into a single pane of glass.

A distributor is offering security operations center as a service (SOCaaS).
Tech Data is helping resellers meet the high demand for security resources and talent. It is also offering enablement and training programs to help partners build security practices.
“With our services offerings, Tech Data can help security partners to fill the gaps in their own capabilities, allowing them to offer a more complete portfolio to their end-user customers,” a Tech Data said.

Unified communications provider CallTower added Cisco Webex Calling and UCM solutions.
The Calling solution works with Cisco 6800s, 7800s and 8800s phones for clients of fewer than 1,000 seats, and UCM caters to larger customers.
CallTower, which was already partnering with Cisco to use its CallManager solution, saw a strong response from its Microsoft Teams integrations.

HPE is addressing the proliferation of customer data with its new Ezmeral Unified Analytics offering.
The vendor rolled out Ezmeral and a few other services last month. Ezmeral is an on-premises, open-source, cloud-native solution.
HPE launched its Edge-to-Cloud Adoption Framework, designed to give organizations proper methodologies to operate in a hybrid cloud model.

Telarus and its broker partners can now sell Simplicity VoIP.
The technology solutions brokerage will utilize Simplicity VoIP’s NetSapiens-based cloud communications services. Specifically, Simplicity offers PBX, VoIP and business telephone solutions.
The deal is particularly interesting in that Simplicity is owned by the people who recently sold Comtel Communications to Telarus.

8×8, RingCentral and other prominent vendors just launched offerings and features that partners can deliver to their customers.
Unified communications and contact center feature prominently in our monthly recap of new products and services. In addition to 8×8 and RingCentral, AWS announced a big update to its cloud contact center. And CallTower harnessed its Cisco partnership to give customers new calling features.
Vendors also made announcements around cloud. Nutanix updated its cloud platform, and HPE issued new methodologies for hybrid models.
