Consolidation continues in the managed services market. The latest example: Alpheon Corp., a managed service provider in Raleigh, North Carolina, has acquired neighboring Network Management Partners Inc. (NMP).

This is the 23rd MSP-related acquisition or investment that MSPmentor has tracked this year. For a complete list of MSP-related deals, check our MSPmentor Merger and Acquisition Tracker.

According to an Alpheon press release:

“The transaction results in a combined customer portfolio representing thousands of customer devices under Alpheon’s technology management services.  The acquired customer base spans a variety of industries including healthcare, construction, engineering and professional services.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. However, it’s a safe bet similar deals will follow as MSPs seek to extend their geographic footprint, eliminate redundant costs and round out their technology portfolios.
