The Tintri partner program just got a major makeover. The latest iteration takes select elements from DataDirect Networks’ (DDNs) recent acquisitions, including Tintri, and consolidates them into one.

DDN, a provider of storage systems for unstructured data and big data, went on a buying spree in 2018-2019. During that time, DDN bought Tintri, then Nextenta, and before that, the IntelliFlash business from Western Digital.

“We have taken the best aspects of the three combined companies’ programs and improved it under the new Tintri,” Paul Repice, vice president of sales and channel, Americas at Tintri, told Channel Futures.

Tintri, a channel-led company, is a provider of intelligent infrastructure for enterprises. The new Tintri partner program aims to help partners offer a full enterprise solution, generate predictable profitability and enable partner growth.

A Closer Look

Here are some benefits partners will find in the Tintri partner program.

  • Deal registration, guaranteed margins, incentives, and discounts.

  • Access to marketing qualified leads.

  • Customized marketing resources, such as collateral, integrated campaigns and event support.

  • Product, solution, competitive-based training.

  • Tintri support for customer install base/support contracts.

Repice has criteria for the type of channel partners that Trinti wants.

“We are looking for partners that want to challenge the status quo and break away from only selling legacy storage. We are specifically looking for those partners who specialize in intelligent infrastructure/AI, MSPs, and those have expertise in virtualization, databases and VDI,” he said.

The partner program isn’t the only thing Tintri is updating. In May, the company launched a new partner portal — Tintri Partner Central.

According to Tintri, its Intelligent Infrastructure portfolio delivers differentiated outcomes in enterprise data centers of all sizes across all industries. The company’s AI- and ML-enabled storage solutions analyze, understand and quickly adapt to customer environments. Deep insights, intelligent analytics and autonomous operations simplify management, accelerate business decisions and reduce operating expenses.

Tintri says its intelligent infrastructure delivers the foundation for solutions that meet demanding VDI, VSI, database, file service, analytics and DevOps workloads. The company’s technology offerings include products from VMstore, IntelliFlash and NexentaStor.
