In addition to its PaaS platform, RightScale also offers a free cloud cost forecasting tool.
Red Hat OpenShift Enterprise enables organizations to create custom applications to support their business objectives. This PaaS offering was leveraged by 3 percent of Talkin' Cloud 100 honorees.
Force.com by Salesforce.com (CRM) enables organizations to develop and deploy apps for HR, IT, sales, marketing and other departments. It was used by 10 percent of Talkin' Cloud 100 honorees.
The OpenStack open source cloud computing software is becoming increasingly popular among organizations worldwide. It was leveraged by 10 percent of Talkin' Cloud 100 honorees.
With Google App Engine, developers can create web and mobile apps, enterprise apps and much more. This PaaS offering was used by 16 percent of Talkin' Cloud 100 honorees.
Microsoft Azure serves as "an open, flexible, enterprise-grade cloud computing platform," according to Microsoft. It was used by 21 percent of Talkin' Cloud 100 honorees, and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella attributed his company's commercial cloud revenue success in the fiscal 2015 second quarter to its Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics CRM Online services as well.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) was the top choice among PaaS offerings, as this platform was used by 25 percent of Talkin' Cloud 100 honorees. Also, Amazon (AMZN) recently reported its AWS earnings for the first time, noting that AWS net sales totaled $1.566 billion in the first quarter of this year.
