Vision Solutions Names New Global Channel Chief

Availability and disaster recovery service provider Vision Solutions has named Chris Cleary as senior vice president of Double-Take Global Sales. The company said Cleary’s hire will enable Vision to improve its current partner relationships and introduce new opportunities to resellers.

Cleary is a 20-year channel veteran who previously served as director of Global Channels and Distribution at Globalscape. Throughout his career Cleary has also held senior leadership roles at Egenera, Fortinet and AT&T, according to the announcement.

“I believe that the key to developing a successful channel program is proper alignment. It’s important to take a step back, outside the traditional perspective of a software manufacturer, and see things from a distribution partner’s point of view,” said Cleary, in a statement. “We must align our solutions with our partner’s portfolio and core expertise, provide the requisite tools, education, and field support to ensure we are enhancing our partner’s value proposition to their customers.”

Cleary will also work to lead Vision’s field sales and channel sales teams, as well as in expanding the company’s sales initiatives surrounding its Double Take product line.

Vision solutions is the second company this week to name a new channel lead, following RES’ announcement that it had brought on former Citrix channel boss Tom Flink as the company’s senior vice president of Sales and Services.
