CHANNEL PARTNERS — Zayo Group Holdings Inc. (Booth 1031) has expanded its data center footprint into four new markets, thanks to its acquisition of colo and IaaS provider Latisys.

Zayo also said the Latisys IaaS portfolio now is available to Zayo’s entire customer base, enabling channel partners to offer extended services to their clients.

The acquisition of Latisys adds eight new facilities to Zayo’s data center footprint and increases the company’s total data center count to 45 facilities across the U.S. and Europe. Zayo’s sellable data center space has increased about 60 percent to 503,000 square feet. Zayo also gained a presence in Ashburn, Virginia; Denver, Orange County, California; and London, and has further enhanced its Chicago data center footprint.

Channel partners can sell Zayo’s IaaS platforms, which include private cloud, public cloud, dedicated hosting and managed IT services. Now, in addition to Zayo’s cloud connectivity, the company will offer dedicated hosting and managed IT services.

“The assets gained through the acquisition enable our partners to better accommodate the bigger customers who need a large amount of space to run their business operations,” Brian Sheehan, Zayo’s indirect channel manager, said. “With locations in four new markets, we are able to offer more connectivity options, and a broader range of the custom solutions our customers demand.”
