No one does networking better than channel partners. And there’s no better kind of networking than the in-person kind.
So we’re starting things off with an MSP Summit Meetup to launch the MSP Summit. It will be held Oct. 31 from 7-9 p.m. at Eyecandy in Mandalay Bay. No costumes required (but hey, we’re not going to stop anyone) and we promise it will be all treats and no tricks.
We’ve all heard the expression about someone who could talk until they were blue in the face. Well, these guys don’t talk and they’re still blue in the face — and everywhere else, for that matter.
No, not they’re not Smurfs. They’re the Blue Man Group. They’ll be kicking off the MSP Summit Conference with an exclusive live performance in the Blue Man Group Theater at the Luxor.
As always, our Expo Hall will be jumping. More than 250 players in the information and communication technology space will be on hand and ready, willing and eager to talk to you about their products and services. The Expo Hall is also the site of a lot of special events. Stay tuned for more information on those!
This year’s Channel Partners Conference & Expo is focused on exploring new possibilities, and we have an outstanding lineup of experts to help you do just that. For example, retired FBI agent John Innarelli will present “Cybersecurity for Business: Perspectives from a Former FBI Special Agent.”
During his more than 20 years of service with the FBI, John was a member of the FBI SWAT Team and participated in the investigations of the Oklahoma City bombing, the 9/11 attack, the January 2011 shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and the Sony hack. During his FBI tenure, he received the FBI Director’s Distinguished Service Award, selected from the ranks of the bureau’s 35,000 employees. Today John is the author of five books, including his newly released “Disorderly Conduct,“ which examines the lighter side of law enforcement and humorous moments during his FBI career. He is a frequent on-air contributor for national news media and provided live, on-scene coverage from Las Vegas of the Mandalay Bay shooting. As a keynote speaker, he’s known for his intriguing insights and sense of humor.
After a career of more than 30 years in franchising, Kevin Brown left the corporate world to begin teaching people about The HERO Effect. He is on a mission to help people and organizations embrace a simple philosophy that separates world-class organizations and high-performance people from everybody else. Passionate about helping people expand their vision, develop their potential and grow their results, Kevin empowers organizations to create a culture where people are inspired to be the best version of themselves and deliver world-class performance to the people they serve.
Hey, they’re superstars, right? And on Nov. 3, they will be presenting an exclusive live performance for the channel. So there you go. Channel + superstars.
From busking on the streets of Philadelphia to acclaimed sold–out runs on Broadway, Penn & Teller are one of the most-beloved resident headline acts in Las Vegas history — and the longest running. Magic’s legendary duo continues to defy labels — and at times physics and good taste — by redefining the genre of magic and inventing their own very distinct niche in comedy.
Even while enjoying the networking, the entertainment and the great meals, everyone in the channel has one thing top of mind: revenue. Since we last got together, massive shifts have taken place in the world. Technology has become more important than ever, but clients (who themselves have changed) are looking for solutions and services to support their new ways of doing business. Channel Partners has you covered.
For starters, Jerry Clark of US Signal will explain how to ”Grow Cloud MRR with Managed Desktop-as-a-Service.” You will come out of this session knowing how to go to market with your own branded cloud desktop that will increase your revenue capabilities.
To stay ahead of the curve, you have to stay on top of the trends. We’ve got you there, too.
Still not sure just what 5G can and can’t actually do? Vince Bradley of AppSmart and Phillip Walker of Network Solutions Provider USA will help you sort it out during “5G Channel Trends: Beyond the Hype and Into Reality.” This session will look at whether 5G is living up to its promise in the channel. It will also explore the partner opportunities for 5G in 2022 and 2023 when it comes to the network’s core and the expected value-add.
As always, our education tracks cover what’s most important to the channel. And #1 has to be security. You’ll find the security topic included through the Channel Partners event.
During the MSP Summit, Kevin McDonald of Alvaka Networks will look at “To Pay or Not to Pay: The Ransomware Threat and MSPs. ” He’ll discuss the latest cyberthreats with a heavy emphasis on ransomware and cyber extortion gangs and will frame the obligations, opportunities and liability around ransomware defense, response and remediation.
As part of the Emerging & Disruptive Technology education track, you can learn how to “Get Sassy with SASE — Cloud Security Opportunities for Modernizing the Network.” Olen Scott of Aryaka, Ray Watson of Masergy and Michael Wood of Versa are the speakers for this session. This trio of SASE experts will discuss why legacy security overlay solutions fail to provide the agility, flexibility, connectivity and security required in the network fabric that weaves together the digital economy and real-world customer case studies.
We’re back! Most of us have been looking forward to our return to Vegas for a long time. Great restaurants, great entertainment and one-of-a-kind attractions.
You don’t even have to leave Mandalay Bay to enjoy “Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil.” Staged in a state-of-the-art surround-sound environment and set to the beat of Michael Jackson’s music, the show takes the audience through a journey featuring aerial performances, acrobatics and high-energy choreography.
