Globalstar LLC (Booth 714), recently entered into a $140 million multiyear agreement with QUALCOMM Inc. for the manufacture of next-generation satellite voice and data products.

The agreement secures Globalstars hardware requirements for at least the next four years and the investment will enable the company to continue offering satellite voice handsets and data hardware to domestic and international distributors, resellers and end-user customers, at a price point that will allow it to maintain its position as a leader in the MSS category.

QUALCOMM currently manufactures the GSP-1600 handset, the GSP-2900 fixed unit, as well as the GSP-1620 duplex data modem hardware.
