WiC Rebrands as Alliance of Channel Women
Women in the Channel has rebranded as Alliance of Channel Women.
Women in the Channel (WiC) is changing its name to Alliance of Channel Women to better reflect its collaborative nature and what makes it unique.
A majority of the association’s members selected the name via electronic ballot from options presented by a rebranding task force authorized by the board of directors.
The Alliance of Channel Women will host its first event, #ACWConnect, on April 17, during the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.

“Our new name, the Alliance of Channel Women, better reflects the collaborative way we work together as women to foster a culture of equality in the indirect channel,” said Stacy Conrad, alliance president and Fusion’s vice president of channel sales. “In addition, the new name enables us to better differentiate our brand in the marketplace to attract and support our members, sponsors and strategic partners.”
The group refined its mission statement.
“Our mission is to advance careers and leadership roles for women at the highest levels in the technology channel by providing education, community, advocacy and opportunities for personal growth.”
As an organization, the Alliance of Channel Women is committed to: creating a community for learning and collaboration for women in the technology channel; advocating for a healthy gender climate; enabling and empowering women to lead through volunteerism; and recognizing their accomplishments.
