SaaS Alerts Offers MSPs Love in the Time of COVID-19

With the current challenges and new realities presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, companies are finding ways to help. One such good Samaritan is SaaS Alerts, a company that helps MSPs unify, discover and remediate data security risks while monetizing SMB SaaS applications.
SaaS Alerts soon will launch a program called MSP Resilient Response (MRR) to help MSPs protect their customers while generating incremental revenue at no cost.
Business adoption for software as a service (SaaS) has exploded across businesses of all sizes. Not surprisingly, SMBs are rushing to the cloud faster than any other. Unfortunately, as these SMBs increasingly move data into cloud applications, this leaves many unprotected against unauthorized data access and data theft.
Historically, it has proven difficult for MSPs to monitor and protect their customers’ SaaS applications. As a result, they often miss out on an enormous opportunity to generate revenue through SaaS protection services.

“MSPs are managing these networks and servers, but they typically don’t have a line of sight into the SaaS applications, said Seth Bostock, CTO at Claimify, and co-founder of SaaS Alerts. “This makes it very difficult for them to help their customers in a lot of cases. That’s where SaaS Alerts sprang from. It’s a unified monitoring tool for the MSP community to protect and monetize their customers’ SaaS applications. We also felt that there needed to be a much lower cost product for SMBs to take advantage of, and one that more directly addressed the way SMB customers look today.”
SaaS Alerts guards against the three biggest threats to a customer SaaS environment. Those are theft of data, data at risk due to employee error, and bad actors.
The company integrates with a growing list of the world’s most popular SaaS applications. It also identifies threats, instantly alerts MSPs and provides reporting and BSA integration.
“This way, MSPs are able to benefit from increased managed services revenue and profit margins,” says Bostock. “They are also able to provide better customer service. There’s just a tremendous amount of alignment and value for both parties. It also allows the MSP to really drive the security compliance part of their business as well.”
As the business world transitions from office life to working from home, more users are leveraging SaaS applications. Users now access the most common – Office 365 and G Suite, Dropbox, Slack, Salesforce – from unconventional environments and locations (IP ranges). Bad actors undoubtedly will use this time to cripple small-business customers even more.
In response, SaaS Alerts launched the MRR program. The program offers MSPs free use to help navigate this challenging time, and better serve the SMBs they support.
As of April 1, SaaS Alerts began accepting 500 MSPs into the MRR program. On April 13, the company will provide all enrolled MSPs access to the product. The program will run through Sept. 1.
“This is a huge opportunity for the MSP to help their customers better protect their environment,” said Bostock. “The definition of resilient is the ability to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions. The MRR program has been designed to help MSPs do just that.”
