Cloud service provider 8×8 has made a few changes to its senior leadership, with Donn Wilson departing its Board of Directors, industry vet Mansour Salame joining the same, and former Senior VP of Worldwide Sales Kim Niederman ascending to the new role of president.

Salame comes to 8×8 after a stint with Contactual, a cloud-based call center provider that 8×8 itself bought in September 2011, according to the press release. Before that, he was with NextAge Technologies, which was bought by Alcatel-Lucent. All told, 8×8 says, Salame has plenty of experience in both the communications and cloud spaces.

“I am delighted to join [8×8 Chairman and CEO Bryan Martin] on the Board during this exciting time for 8×8. As a leading provider in the fast growing cloud business communications and computing markets, 8×8 is in a unique position to capture a significant share of that growth,” Salame said in the press release.

As previously mentioned, Wilson is departing after an eight-year stint on 8×8’s board, and the company has entered into an agreement to purchase back some of his vested stock options.

Finally, in her new role as president, Niederman will oversee “worldwide sales organizations, customer service and network operations teams,” according to 8×8. Presumably, that includes 8×8’s partner program.

In 2011, 8×8 got TalkinCloud’s attention for its acquisition of Zerigo and the addition of Microsoft Windows cloud servers to its lineup. We’ll keep watching, so you make sure to come back.
