The Alliance Partners, the channel partner industry organization that brings together agents, VARs, MSPs, IT consultants and cloud specialists, next month will debut a new channel sales empowerment event focused on sales training and networking around next-generation services.

The inaugural Tech+Connect event will take place Nov. 6-8, at La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, Texas. Channel Partners will be there to cover the event.

Tech+Connect will bring together experienced channel sales professionals and providers of next-generation services for sales training around four developing areas: SD-WAN, cloud computing, cybersecurity and unified communications as a service (UCaaS). This is a “non-conforming” channel event, focused on “meaningful engagement on how to sell these new technologies, rather than endless rounds of provider pitches and product presentations,” according to Alliance.

The roster of 27 next-generation providers includes: Bigleaf, CallTower, CenturyLink, Comcast Business, Consolidated Communications, Cyxtera, Effortless, EvolveIP, Imperva, inContact, Kore Wireless, Level 3, Masergy, NetFortris, Nextiva, Peak10, PGi, QTS, Rackspace, SimpleWAN, SingleHop, Sky Data Vault, Tata Communications, Telesystem, Verizon, Vonage and Zayo.

“We are pioneering a new model for channel events,” said Bill Power, Alliance CEO. “Attendees won’t be rushing between back-to-back 30-minute meetings with providers where little gets done. There will be no walking a massive exhibit hall looking for a solution to one of your customer’s cloud challenges, or attending seminars where providers go on and on about their ‘differentiators.’”

Attendees will learn how to use battle cards, field guides, case studies, opening questions and answers to basic objections to gain a prospect’s interest and get in the door. Sessions will spotlight role play, exact methods, processes, words, tools and actions that top sellers are already using to advance sales.

Tech+Connect is open only to invited guests, including 150 selected channel sales professionals.

“Tech+Connect is distinctive and unique in that it will offer in-depth, useful sales training on how to make the most of the enormous opportunities on the leading edge of technology trends, in an intimate and dynamic setting,” Power said. “We’re filling a big gap in channel empowerment with this first-of-its-kind approach. We’re certain Tech+Connect will deliver immediate sales and future growth for our guests.”
