Close on the heels of its recent recognition by Forrester as an industry leader, data governance vendor Collibra announced version 4.3 of its data regulatory compliance platform this week, which brings features designed to appeal especially to the healthcare industry.
Collibra, which describes itself as "the industry's only global data governance provider founded to address data management from the business stakeholder perspective," focuses on data governance and management for the enterprise. Based out of New York and Brussels, the company received recognition earlier this year from the Forrester Wave as a "Strong Leader" in the data governance market.
The latest version of the Collibra platform, which debuted July 29, brings enhancements that the company expects to be of particular value to the healthcare industry by making it easier to search and share data, as well as enforce access policies. Major changes include the following, according to Collibra:
Advanced search functionality, which makes it easy and fast to find relevant data assets across the entire value chain, from insurers to suppliers to primary care providers.
Advanced dashboarding that enables companies to visualize and track all their data governance processes, data maturity, stewardship responsibilities coverage and more.
Granular view permissions, allowing for advanced privacy settings and security around data assets so only those who need access have it.
Advanced validation rules to enable large and complex hierarchies that promote greater accountability (e.g. ICD in health care).
Collibra is available in both on-premise and cloud-based forms.
