dcVAST Adds 24/7 Managed Support for AWS
Downers Grove, Illinois-based managed service provider (MSP) dcVAST is now offering around-the-clock support to Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers. Here are the details.
dcVAST has launched a 24×7 support solution to help its partners better leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) applications and tools.
The Downers Grove, Illinois-based managed service provider (MSP) said its new release, dcVAST Manged Services for AWS, “fills a gap of high-touch customer support that currently exists in the IT managed services industry.”
dcVAST noted these services are ideal for partners who want to implement a secure, highly available AWS environment because they enable partners to access their infrastructure via the cloud while leveraging their internal systems.
“We saw a real need in the marketplace for high-quality, reliable support around AWS. With our managed services, clients receive high-quality, high-touch support – making this a true turn-key, managed solution with personalized customer service,” David Cintron, dcVAST’s vice president of managed services, said in a prepared statement.
dcVAST added that it focused on disaster recovery-as-a-service (DRaaS) with its new release.
And by doing so, the IT services and infrastructure management solutions provider expects to provide flexible, cost-effective disaster recovery support to its partners, according to Cintron.
“Failures occur at the worst times. You need coverage for cloud solutions 24×7. We design for optimal uptime, but anyone that knows this business [knows that] things break at any time of day. So you need to be proactive not only during business hours, but at all times,” he told MSPmentor.
AWS and the managed services market
AWS currently offers a managed service partner program to MSPs worldwide and an AWS MSP competency program. AWS unveiled the program in July 2013, and a full overview of the program is available here.
Virtualization Review has reported that AWS plans to launch new competency programs as part of its AWS Partner Network (APN), including:
Cloud migration
Digital media
Financial services
Healthcare
Internet of Things (IoT)
Mobile
Security
“As the cloud increasingly becomes the default platform for businesses of all sizes, there has never been a better time to be an APN Partner,” Terry Wise, director of the AWS worldwide partner ecosystem, said in a prepared statement. “Moving into 2015, we plan to more than double our investments in our APN Partners with the most significant set of updates, enhancements and new benefits to the APN since its inception. We are very excited to work with our ecosystem to help them grow their businesses, differentiate their offerings and drive success for our joint customers.”
