Green House Data has appointed Mark Fuqua, formerly with Datapipe and Layered Technologies, to senior vice president of sales, charged with building and leading the company’s sales organization, both direct and in the channel.

Green House Data’s Mark Fuqua

Fuqua previously served as Layered Technologies’ director of business development, and Datapipe’s director of compliant solutions and vice president of enterprise sales. Rackspace completed its acquisition of Datapipe in November.

He is responsible for sales revenue throughout all of North America, which is Green House Data’s primary market. His experience includes working with complex compute environments, regulatory compliance standards and cloud services.

“My decision to come to Green House Data was based on the company’s unique position in the market, with the ability to manage the entire compute stack including implementation and management of services,” Fuqua said. “Green House Data has an extremely strong management team that will continue to add products and drive the company toward growth. These reasons, combined with Green House Data’s unusually high customer satisfaction and retention rate, made this a company that I wanted to be a part of.”

This executive hire comes on the heels of a year of rapid growth for Green House Data, which expanded to Atlanta and Dallas after acquiring Cirracore last April, and launched into Denver after acquiring Ajubeo last November. In December, the company announced its acquisition of Assuritive for intellectual property around disaster recovery-as-a-service.

“Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership in enterprise sales, cloud platform development, and managed services to Green House Data,” said Shawn Mills, Green House Data’s CEO. “In addition, his background in compliance dovetails perfectly with our portfolio of secure IaaS offerings.”
