Master agent Avant Communications hired a West Coast channel director, and rival WTG named a director of strategic alliances.

Avant's Isaiah Hogberg
Avant, the Chicago-based master agent/distributor, hired Isaiah Hogberg to take on the newly created position of West Coast channel director.
Hogberg previously served as vice president of channel sales at Peak10 + ViaWest. During his tenure at ViaWest, he built the firm’s channel strategy. At Avant, Hogberg will help the company accelerate its West Coast expansion initiatives, including local channel sales enablement and regional customer marketing efforts.

TPx's Jamie Minner and Scott Bowman
TPx Communications continued its expansion with the hiring of Jamie Minner (left), formerly of Momentum and Cbeyond. He's a vice president in charge of the company's newly established UCx business line.
Also at TPx, Scott Bowman took on the role of channel manager (right), where, based in San Diego, he will support TPx partners in California and the company's West region. He came to the company from NetFortris.
Tech Data's Sergio Farache
Sergio Farache now leads Tech Data’s Global Cloud Solutions team, joining the Strategy, Transformation and Global Vendor Management organizations.
Farache joined Tech Data in February, with the acquisition of Avnet Technology Solutions. He served as senior vice president, solutions and strategy, within Tech Data’s Americas Enterprise Solutions business, where he led the company’s specialty business units including IoT, analytics, cloud, mobility and security, prior to his promotion.

BCN Telecom's Keith Mullins
Keith Mullins moved from Verizon Business Markets to BCN Telecom, where he is an agent sales director for the company. His goal is to help the company and its partners grow in the Southwest. That includes helping partners as they tailor solutions for their customers.
Mullins' career arc includes being an account manager at CenturyLink.

ZyXel's David Soares
Small VARs are the “sweet spot” for ZyXel Communications, said David Soares, the company's new vice president of North American sales, in a Q&A with Channel Partners.
The provider of secure broadband networking, internet access and connected home products welcomed Soares into the fold. He spent a few years as SVP and general manager of Netgear's retail business unit. He was in management with Hayes Modems for 12 years before that.
Soares told us about his plans for big changes to Zyxel’s partner program and how he wants to help VARs deliver more services to their customers.
RapidScale's Scott Ward
Scott Ward is RapidScale's newest solutions engineer. He is tasked with giving technical training to employees and partners and being a "subject matter expert" for the company.
Ward previously worked for Verizon Enterprise Solutions and Terremark as a senior sales engineer. He also previously worked at Sungard Availability Services.

LANtelligence's Joe Schiavone
LANtelligence, the 19-year-old master solutions provider, which offers unified-communications products and services from ShoreTel, PureCloud by Genesys, VeloCloud and 8×8, named telecom industry veteran Joe Schiavone as its new director of channel sales, focusing on the top providers in the U.S. and Canada.
Schiavone’s experience includes stints at FreedomVoice, VoiceNation, Toshiba, HTG, ConnectWise, TigerPaw and more. He most recently was a channel executive at BullsEye Telecom with a prior leadership position as national channel manager at Voxox.
Microsoft's Gavriella Schuster
As if she doesn't already have a lot on her plate, Gavriella Schuster, corporate VP of Microsoft's Commercial Partner Channels & Programs, will indefinitely be in charge of the One Commercial Partner Group. Ron Huddleston, head of One Commercial Partner, is taking personal family leave with no date set for a return.
One Commercial Partner, which launched in February, brings together all of the different organizations within Microsoft that are partner-centric. Schuster reports to Huddleston.

Datos IO's Rick Gouveia
Rick Gouveia is the new vice president of sales at Datos IO, the application-centric cloud data management company. In this newly created position, Gouveia is responsible for defining sales strategies, leading all sales execution, and for growing the company’s partner relationships.
Prior to taking this new job with Datos IO, Gouveia held sales positions at Druva, for three years, and at the separate and combined Dell EMC companies for almost 18 years.

ADRF's John Shubin
ADRF, which provides in-building wireless services, named John Shubin as manager of business development for the western U.S. He brings 20 years of experience developing and implementing solutions in the wireless, public safety and communication industries. He's responsible for driving revenue from carrier, enterprise and third-party operator customers in the region.
Shubin joins ADRF from Kastle Systems, the managed services and access control provider, where he was a business development manager. He also had stints at Notora, PCTEL, CSI and AT&T Mobility.
Skybox Security's Uri Levy
Skybox Security appointed Uri Levy to the position of vice president of worldwide channels. He is charged with leading the growth of the company's reseller network.
A longtime member of the Skybox leadership team, Levy will drive the strategic direction of Skybox's channel program in 2018.
TeloIP's Roger Davis and Ed Shepherdson
TeloIP, the Toronto-based provider of SD-WAN solutions, appointed Roger Davis (left), a former senior executive with AT&T, as its new CEO. He also has been on the boards of numerous startups, including TeloIP.
Also in a new role at the company is Ed Shepherdson, chief success officer. Prior to TeloIP, he was executive VP of products and services for Kinaxis.
