RES’ flagship offering addresses user-environment management and identity governance across physical, virtual and cloud environments via its converged platform.. RES’ capabilities for bulk provisioning and deprovisioning user accounts will combine with Ivanti’s process automation to help IT organizations automate onboarding and offboarding processes.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. This acquisition is Ivanti’s 10th in five years and second under the new brand name.

Reza Parsia, Ivanti’s senior channel director, tells Channel Partners the acquisition will allow both Ivanti and RES partners to expand their portfolios “as we work together to meet growing demand for unified IT solutions that help organizations manage and secure their digital workplace.”

“By incorporating RES Software into the Ivanti family, we are advancing our strategy for delivering unified and automated IT solutions, a vision which our channel partners will play a significant part in helping us deliver,” he said. “Our partners will be able to grow their business and further extend their practices in user workspace management and related IT disciplines.”

With a significant presence in Europe, particularly in the Benelux region, RES expands Ivanti’s customer base while furthering its global growth. RES will help Ivanti extend its existing automation capabilities to a larger pool of applications, platforms and databases.

“Both companies have strong partner programs and will continue to operate under their existing models,” Parsia said. “Moving forward, we will evaluate our channel programs, and seek ways to consolidate and integrate all the best elements of both.”

“RES Software has been dedicated to delivering products we know our customers will love, helping to simplify the complex IT tasks associated with modern digital workspaces,” said Bob Janssen, RES’s founder and chief technology officer. “We are excited to share what we’ve built with a broader, global audience, and to help more CIOs with their digital transformation. Our existing customers will greatly benefit from this combination, and together with Ivanti, we have a more comprehensive solution to help organizations solve the growing problem of IT complexity.”
