UK-based billion-dollar MSP Logicalis has announced the acquisition Network Infrastructure Corporation (NIC), an American service provider with clients in the K-12 education, state and local government, and gaming and hospitality verticals. Here’s the scoop.
When Logicalis held a how-go gathering for managed and cloud service providers back in October, MSPmentor saw it as the expansion of the company’s North American efforts. Well, this blogger would call the wholesale acquisition of an Arizonian solutions provider as further momentum in that area.
While Logicalis’ press release doesn’t disclose financial terms of the deal, it does mention that the 16-year-old NIC generates annualized revenues of about $20 million. For Logicalis, the acquisition seems to be all about extending reach, while NIC’s customers get access to the full Logicalis portfolio of managed and cloud services. And it looks like NIC will be operating from now on under the Logicalis brand.
MSPmentor wouldn’t be surprised in the least if this were only the first of many acquisitions by Logicalis – after all, the research says this kind of consolidation is inevitable.
