RightScale: International Cloud Business Grew 250% in 2010

RightScale, which provides cloud management solutions to enterprises and the managed services community alike, says their international business grew 250% in 2010. Moreover, roughly 30 percent of RighScale’s revenues now come from international markets. Accounting for that growth: new RightScale offices in the United Kingdom and Singapore and new distributor and partner relationships in the Asia-Pacific,  India, and Europe.

While RightScale is based in Santa Barbara, California, partnerships with companies like Capgemini, Hitachi Solutions, and Datapipe have enabled RightScale to spread their sales across the globe.

“2010 was a critically important year for RightScale and the industry. Companies around the globe increased their use of cloud computing resources across the enterprise for everything from high-traffic websites to data-intensive scientific research to software testing. We moved into the international market in a significant way last year to address the strong worldwide demand for cloud management. We now have customers in over 30 countries worldwide, as well as international resellers, systems integrators, and other global partners.”
