Informatica partners with a range of channel experts. In terms of primary Channel Futures readers, Informatica teams with resellers and system integrators. Think Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra and HCL, among others.
In terms of cloud providers, rather than channel partners, Informatica works with and supports the Big 3 public cloud providers — Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud. It also aligns with Databricks, Salesforce, Snowflake and Tableau.
Informatica’s longtime partnership with Microsoft now includes the private preview of a SaaS version of Informatica’s Master Data Management on Azure.
The platform will allow Informatica and Microsoft users to combine and rationalize hundreds of data sources into one place. Informatica says the capability will support operations in all business areas.
“Microsoft and Informatica are helping some of the largest organizations in the world become data-driven, and master data management is a core capability to delivering trusted, clean, complete data for analytics,” said Scott Guthrie, executive vice president at Azure.
When the platform goes live for general availability, partners will be able to buy it on the Azure Marketplace.
Informatica also is launching data governance that spans the gamut from source to business intelligence with its Intelligent Data Management Cloud on Azure.
The new scanning capabilities, developed with Microsoft’s Power BI team, mean Informatica will deliver a complete view of data governance from data source to data consumption. This lets Informatica ad Microsoft customers get holistic insight, the company said.
“Customers today want to analyze every aspect of their business to optimize and drive better outcomes, ranging from customers, suppliers, products to industry-specific aspects such as patients or providers,” said Amit Walia, CEO of Informatica. “With Informatica’s SaaS MDM on Azure, the sky is the limit.”
Informatica now offers a free cloud service for Google Big Query. It’s called Informatica Data Loader and it provides no-cost, no-code cloud data management via SaaS.
Informatica says the platform will help users across the organization move from data to insights in minutes, rather than weeks. That’s because Informatica’s Data Loader supports data ingestion from more than 40 sources to a Google BigQuery cloud data warehouse.
The Data Loader is accessible directly from the Google BigQuery console, and will be available through the Informatica Marketplace as well.
“Data is fundamental to digital transformation, and we partner closely with Informatica to make it very easy for enterprises to bring their data from across platforms and environments into the cloud,” said Gerrit Kazmaier, vice president and general manager at Google Cloud. “The launch of Informatica’s new Data Loader will further simplify the path for customers to bring data into BigQuery for analysis, and accelerate their data-driven business transformations.”
Jitesh Ghai, chief product officer at Informatica, agreed.
“[W]e are enabling every organization to put the power of their data in the hands of business users so they can move from data ingestion to insights at a speed never before possible,” Ghai said.
Informatica has debuted a version of its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) for the health care and life sciences verticals.
The industry-specific version of the platform means users can build digital-first experiences, such as telehealth, for connected patient care, Informatica said. It supports the ingestion, management and governance of data in a hybrid, multicloud environment. It works with CLAIRE, Informatica’s artificial intelligence engine.
Intelligent Data Management Cloud for Healthcare & Life Sciences connects to MedPro, Salesforce, NPI data, National Patient Account Services, Veeva, Workday, Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud, Orange HRM, Salesforce Health Cloud and UltiPro. It also comes with out-of-the-box, health care-industry-specific extensions. Those include HL7, Health Information Exchange, HIPAA and National council for Prescription Drug Programs.
The new platform further features data model extensions and quality rules. The latter validate and standardize contact details for providers, patients, payors and more.
Fresh on the heels of the health care and life sciences announcement, Informatica also debuted Intelligent Data Management Cloud for financial services.
The basic functionality is the same, of course, as other editions of the platform, just targeted to banks, insurance, wealth management firms and similar users. It also lets users pinpoint cross-sell opportunities to get more spending from existing customers.
The financial services-oriented platform complies with various regulations including Dodd Frank, CCAR, BCBS 239, GDPR and CCPA. There’s also integration with databases including Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters.
“Informatica’s IDMC for Financial Services is designed to help the financial sector embrace the power of cloud and AI to transform how they deliver digital-first customer experiences, innovate and modernize to stay competitive,” said Peter Ku, chief financial strategist at Informatica.
