Vonage has rolled out a new enterprise plan for its Nexmo API platform, featuring a set of 11 program, product and platform features built specifically with enterprises in mind.
Key highlights of the plan include: unlimited inbound and outbound voice using Vonage’s carrier-grade network; an engineering support team that helps customers address and resolve issues, produces regular custom reports, and offers interpretation of generated analysis; and an account team member who oversees account relationships. Also, consultants accelerate on-boarding for Nexmo Command Line Interface and the use of SDKs and APIs, while also delivering architecture, configuration and testing of communication applications.
Bob Crissman, Vonage’s senior vice president and channel chief, tells Channel Partners the enterprise plan is available to integration, application and technology partners via Vonage’s Nexmo Partner Program, which is complementary to and a subset of the larger Vonage Partner Program and initiatives.

“In fact, the enterprise plan enables us to provide more options to partners to meet the enterprise customer’s needs through the Nexmo Partner Program, which is designed to help us deliver the customized solutions businesses require to better engage with their own customers for deeper relationships and more meaningful, personalized connections,” he said. “For traditional channel partners, Vonage’s unique combination of unified communications and cloud-based APIs allow them to move beyond a feature-based, transactional sales model to truly create solutions built for their customers’ needs, and in the process, exponentially grow the business potential within each opportunity — much like the customized offering the Nexmo Partner Program provides.”
The plan is now available globally.
“One of the greatest challenges for enterprises to adopt cloud communications is that each organization is unique in the amount of resources they need to launch projects,” said Eric Le Guiniec, Nexmo’s senior vice president of worldwide sales. “With the new enterprise plan, our unlimited voice offering delivers clear and transparent pricing that is advantageous to enterprises as they scale up usage of the Nexmo Voice API, and our service teams deliver ongoing support for a seamless experience.”
Also this week, Vonage announced it has received a second patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in support of the Nexmo platform. The patent adds to its adaptive-routing technology.
Adaptive routing provides users with improved deliverability, low latency and overall stability when sending and receiving text messages, the company said. Together with its direct-to-carrier network, it allows Vonage to continuously monitor multiple available routes for delivering text messages, and to select the best route among multiple options based on real-time, relative performance data of each route.
This patent provides additional coverage that further enhances the reliability of message delivery to any device globally, according to Vonage.
“Adaptive routing is critical for our partners to differentiate SMS delivery,” Crissman said. “With the enterprise plan, we are enabling partners in our Nexmo Partner Program to be more competitive in the enterprise segment and providing an opportunity for them to offer their customers a new level of reliability and streamlined, seamless connection with their own customers via SMS and messaging — arguably the most used communications vehicle today. For customers in the retail space, for example, this allows the real-time and immediate delivery of communications for special deals and sales, targeting their own customers at a critical moment in the purchasing process, when timing means everything.”
