Zenith Infotech Promotes Sales Leader, Nears 1,000 Cloud Installs
Zenith Infotech promoted John McCallum to lead sales and TigerCloud installs are approaching 1000 partners and customers, says CEO Akash Saraf.
Zenith Infotech has promoted John McCallum to VP of sales — succeeding Senior VP Maurice Saluan, who resigned June 1 to pursue opportunities elsewhere in the IT channel. Also, Zenith Infotech’s TigerCloud — which empowers MSPs with cloud and IaaS services — is approaching 1,000 customer and partner installs, a key milestone as the company seeks to push beyond traditional BDR (backup and disaster recovery) services.
Zenith Infotech CEO Akash Saraf confirmed McCallum’s promotion and the TigerCloud install stats in an email to MSPmentor. “John has worked under Maurice for a number of years and we are confident that he will be able to do a good job as VP of sales,” wrote Saraf.
Separately, Zenith Infotech within weeks expects to hit 1,000 installs of TigerCloud, “which is quite an achievement given that we launched this product in May 2012,” wrote Saraf. “Till date its been used for on-premise private cloud deployments with the primary drivers being VDI, and a full blown IT infrastructure.”
“With the newest release,” he continued, “we’ve added multi-tenancy, whereby partners can build their own ‘mini public cloud’. We expect that in the next six months to have over 250 IT service providers building their own public cloud using TigerCloud.”
Asked about Zenith Infotech’s 2011 debt default, Saraf said he had no new information to share about the company’s ongoing court case.
