Remote monitoring and management and BDR vendor Continuum is expanding the services it offers to managed service providers by offering its NOC staff to perform various IT projects on an outsourced basis. Continuum executives say the service, called Continuum Tech Advantage, can help MSPs increase their profit margins by offering these IT services at a much lower cost than if they performed the project work inhouse.  Here are the details.

The new program uses Continuum’s 200 certified engineers and technicians on a project-by-project basis to perform jobs such as Active  Directory set-ups, VMware vCenter, ESX and ESXi installation and configuration, and Exchange Server migrations. Continuum says that there are 80 high-value, low-cost server and desktop projects to choose from, letting partners expand the scope of services and volume of projects delivered to their clients, providing MSPs with an additional highly profitable source of revenue.

“Partners realize we have a low cost structure through our NOC,” Steve Rickets, VP of marketing at Continuum told MSPmentor. “We can do [these projects] on cost effective basis. Partners are also looking for a way to leverage the 24×7 capability of our NOC. we are able to work during the evening, so they can get a full work day in in terms of performing work for their clients. We can do work around the clock.”

The announcement comes on the heels of Continuum’s competitive hardware migration for its BDR Vault service, unveiled last week. More information about Continuum Tech Advantage is available here.
