OpenDNS has unveiled several updates to its Umbrella dashboard designed to make it easier for managed service providers (MSPs) to manage multiple customer networks.
The cloud-delivered security provider has added centralized reporting, IP-layer enforcement and other capabilities to its Umbrella for MSPs dashboard.
OpenDNS noted that Umbrella’s new capabilities offer MSPs:
Centralized and scheduled reporting — Provides a single-pane-of-glass view for all customer accounts. “Centralized reporting makes Umbrella for MSPs even easier to manage and simpler to use, with more context and visibility into customer environments from a single pane of glass,” OpenDNS Senior Product Manager Dima Kumets told MSPmentor. “Where remote monitoring and management stops with what’s running on a user’s computer, we show you what end users are doing on the network layer through single-pane-of-glass reports.”
IP layer enforcement — Enables MSPs to deploy security in minutes and protect customers on and off network. “IP layer enforcement will save [MSPs] time and money by further protecting their customers,” Kumets added.
Enhanced cloud services reporting — Allows MSPs to leverage a single-pane-of-glass view of network activity for cloud services and see if customers are using cloud services they sell.
Umbrella customers can try the new capabilities by logging into their dashboard and clicking on the Reports tab.
In addition, a free Umbrella trial is available here.
