For perhaps the first time ever, modern IT systems are both driving innovation and saving companies millions in their IT budgets.
VARs who recognize this inflection point and who are selling this angle are really driving the market right now. Oracle is right there with them. Oracle PartnerNetwork’s (OPN) Global Program is helping VARs around the globe deliver innovation and cost-savings to customers, and we’re enabling them to position themselves in the areas of strongest market growth.
I want to highlight four major initiatives that make Oracle the vendor of choice for some of the industry’s top-performing VARs.
Enablement
Oracle provides partners broad specialization and certification opportunities, focusing on sales and enablement skills that enable them to deliver services and products to customers. Enablement offerings range from access to bootcamps and virtual classes to Oracle University’s library of e-learning content and Online Guided Learning Paths on the Oracle Partner Network (OPN) Competency Center.
Cloud
We support partners who are driving Oracle cloud solutions. According to IDC, in the mid-term, the worldwide private cloud market is predicted to grow to $22.2 billion in 2017 from $12.3 billion in 2013, and the worldwide public cloud market is predicted to grow to $20.1 billion in 2017 from $11.1 billion in 2013. The cloud carries massive potential, and we’re leading partners into big opportunities with our Oracle Cloud Services Specialization offerings for both public and private clouds. Oracle is in a unique position, delivering one of the broadest selections of enterprise-grade cloud solutions, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and software as a service (SaaS). We’re putting a lot of effort into making sure these offerings are received well by partners and customers alike.
Incentive Program
Oracle has a robust incentive program for partners selling Oracle hardware and software as it was designed—as a complete, integrated end-to-end stack. The value to customers of an Oracle-on-Oracle solution lies in simplicity. Their IT investments are less complicated to deploy and maintain; they have access to out-of-the box features, including security and management; and they can get immediate support from a single point of contact should they need help. We reward partners who deliver this value to customers. And, we have complete enablement offerings for partners to grow their skills.
Exastack
The Oracle Exastack program helps ISVs run their solutions on Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud, providing Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) partners with a high-performance infrastructure for database and application workloads across on-premise and cloud-based environments. We’re offering Exastack to enable partners to reduce the cost, time and complexity associated with maintaining application infrastructures.
VARs have a lot of choices when it comes to all-in partnerships. But right now Oracle is the best vendor to help them grow where the market is.
