Scale Computing on Tuesday introduced its Business Resilience Solution, a bundled offer for an increasingly remote workforce.
The Business Resilience Solution includes the vendor’s tech partner, Acronis Cyber Backup, for ransomware protection and data backup capabilities. It also includes server virtualization, end-user computing, data protection and threat mitigation. The design keeps data, applications and online workers protected from pervasive cybersecurity threats. The bundle is built on Scale Computing’s HC3 platform
Scale Computing’s Jeff Ready
“With working environments changing more quickly in recent weeks than ever before, many organizations have had to become incredibly adaptable in enabling their teams to work remotely,” said Jeff Ready, CEO and co-founder of Scale Computing. “However, with home working now set to become a long-term solution for millions of organizations around the world, alongside a massive increase in opportunist cybercrime, there is an urgent need for affordable, high performance, and secure ‘work from anywhere’ infrastructure designed for that purpose. Organizations need to move beyond emergency tech rollouts and take a strategic view of business resilience to protect their workers and data.”
What’s In It for Partners?
Scale is a channel-led company.
Scale Computing’s Craig Theriac
“Channel partners are looking to offer solutions to their customers, not one-off feature updates,” Craig Theriac, director of product management at Scale Computing, told Channel Futures. “Scale Computing partners have been asking us to make our offerings focused on solutions and use cases.”
Earlier this year, Scale Computing announced its new class of HC3 appliances. At the time, the vendor launched the HC3250DF HCI appliance. It is designed for performance computing for enterprises and SMBs, from the core data center to the edge. The Scale appliances integrate software, servers and storage and rely on the KVM-based HyperCore hypervisor.
Acronis Cyber Backup offers active ransomware protection and advanced data backup capabilities. It features granular object-level recovery, recovery to other platforms, and granular file-level backups. Acronis monitors virtual machines and detects ransomware attacks in real-time, automatically rolling back infections in real time.
