Distribution giant ScanSource says Yealink’s unified communications lineup now is part of its portfolio.

“Coupled with ScanSource’s support and services, Yealink’s SIP phone solutions further expand and enhance our UC offering, while providing critical capabilities for both service providers and UC resellers,” said Yvette McKenzie, vice president of merchandising for ScanSource Communications, U.S. “From SIP to DECT phones, Yealink stands as a leading brand among today’s business customers.”

The partnership means resellers will get their hands on Yealink’s tiered catalog of T2, T4 and T5 SIP phones. They’ll also have the opportunity to choose from a wide selection of DECT and conference phones.

Yealink says its SIP and cordless business phones offer a range of capabilities to customers who need mobility and high-definition sound quality, multitasking functions and extended battery life. The phones now come with ScanSource support and services to meet resellers’ needs.

“We believe this partnership between two leading providers in the UC industry is going to have a positive impact on the market,” said Stone Lu, Yealink Vice President. “With ScanSource’s relationships, Yealink will be exposed to more resellers, and, in turn, ScanSource’s customers can benefit from a wide range of solutions with high-quality and rich functions as Yealink always promises.”

Adding Yealink gives a boost to ScanSource’s advantEDGE program, a scalable suite of solutions designed to eliminate costs in five areas: order process, logistics, warehouse, deployment and reverse logistics. This partnership provides a larger selection of products and services for UC customers. With advantEDGE, ScanSource says, resellers “can quickly and easily deploy complete unified communications solutions, to grow business and reduce overhead costs.”

ScanSource, which hosts its Global Partner Conference next month in its hometown of Greenville, South Carolina, talked with Channel Partners at Intelisys Channel Connect a couple of weeks ago about how partners are benefiting from its purchase of Intelisys late last year.
