Imperva partners have a new leader. Micheal McCollough, previously with Akamai, has joined the company as global vice president of strategic growth.

In this role, McCollough will grow Imperva’s channel business. He’ll further develop and grow its partner community, and create new partnerships.

At Akamai, he was global vice president of channels and alliances. He led indirect sales and the partner program. In addition, he built the enablement framework and marketing strategy for partners.

Prior to that, McCollough was with Dell Technologies for more than seven years. He was director of managed services for Asia Pacific and Japan, leading its strategic alliances and channel organization.

Imperva’s Micheal McCollough

“Imperva is focused solely on security, offers amazing technology and has a reputation for being an innovator,” McCollough said. “My background and expertise working with service providers and MSSPs globally gives me a good understanding of what these partners really need when they select a vendor partner. This is a great time, the right time, for me to lead the team and accelerate partner growth as Imperva is introducing more market-defining services and solutions that are designed to address security needs across edge, applications and data.”

Imperva has a “great foundation” established globally, and a strong commitment to being channel-first, McCollough said.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in February.

“We have the right program with the right benefits, and innovative partners who can have a consultative, transformational sale with customers,” he said. “I’m committed to listening, taking action on feedback from the partner ecosystem and respecting the rules of engagement. Imperva is already a trusted partner and we’re going to continue building on this.”

Positioned to Help Partners

Imperva is positioned to help partners address some of their customers’ most complex security issues, McCollough said.

“With Imperva as a trusted partner, we have seen the channel close new business deals faster, experience higher customer retention rates and enjoy long-term, profitable revenue growth opportunities,” he said.

Paul Loftus is Imperva‘s chief revenue officer.

“Micheal is an exceptional leader who will accelerate our transformation to a channel-first company while delivering innovative solutions to our partners to help address the challenges around securing the edge, applications and data,” he said.
