Data governance solution provider Rand Secure Data has rebranded to Zovy LLC following the company’s acquisition by Alta Equity Partners. The rebrand represents “a renewed commitment to serve the enterprise marketplace with best-in-class proven technology to fulfill archiving, backup, and eDiscovery needs through an integrated secure platform,” according to the company.
“Alta’s goal is to enable the organization to accelerate growth by providing additional growth capital and strategic support,” said Jessica Reed, partner at Alta Equity Partners, in a statement. “Zovy has a unique combination of technical expertise, industry experience, and superior ability to support customers, all of which motivated us to acquire this exciting organization.”
Zovy has relocated its company headquarters to Waltham, Massachusetts, and launched a website to provide users with additional resources on data governance, according to the announcement. Alta Equity Partners is also located in Waltham.
Alta announced it had acquired Rand Secure Data in September. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
“Zovy will continue to take a proactive approach toward security and privacy of customers’ data while continuing to deliver best-in-class data governance solutions,” said Chris Grossman, CEO of Zovy LLC. “This acquisition, along with expanded agreements with our strategic partners, will allow Zovy to continue to grow in both size and capability, and with the highest level of security infrastructure.”
Rand Secure Data is the second company this week to announce a rebranding campaign. BlueOSS announced it is changing its name to BluLogix to reflect the company’s increasing efforts to improve customer service and reflect its core competencies in telecom best practices.
