PRESS RELEASE — CLOUD PARTNERS — Telarus (Booth 1019), master agent of business data, voice, cloud, and data center services, today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of LVM Inc., creators of VXSuite, a diagnostic tool used by solution providers to troubleshoot voice over a data network.
The deal, which is expected to close by the end of the year, gives Telarus ownership of cutting-edge software and other intellectual property it plans to roll into its “Cloud Broker” strategy. Using this software, Telarus’ channel partners of 2000+ independent consultants will have the ability to leverage network analytics to ensure the quality of voice traffic on the data networks they sell on behalf of more than 60 providers of commercial Internet, voice, and data center services.
“This is an exciting day for all who work and associate with both Telarus and LVM,” commented Adam Edwards, co-founder and CEO of Telarus. “Our mission since day one has been to give our channel partners a distinct advantage when they broker data, voice, and cloud products to their customers. With the help of the LVM management team, cloud engineers, sales experts, and the VXSuite software, our partners will be able to really differentiate themselves in the marketplace by offering an incredible amount of value to their customers.”
Once the acquisition is complete, Telarus will assume full control of the LVM partner channel which consists of more than 300 resellers of its VXSuite software. The LVM channel consists of managed solution providers (MSPs), value-added resellers (VARs) of communications equipment and services, and hosted VoIP providers.
“We are thrilled to join Telarus,” added Roger Blohm, president of LVM, Inc. “I believe we will be able to dramatically expand the channel of VXSuite VARs through the Telarus marketing engine, online presence, industry reputation, and their partner channel. This acquisition will also give us the financial and human resources we need to compete against much larger competitors, which creates value for everyone involved.”
The integration of the two organizations is expected to take three to four months as both companies assess the needs of the combined entity and leverage synergies created with the two companies. The “new Telarus” will begin to make public appearances at the Technology Innovation Conferences (TIC) – a full-day event that brings together industry thought leaders, suppliers, and partners in major cities across the country. The first TIC will take place on September 24 in Washington D.C.
“Our mission is to help our partners win by helping them see what others can’t,” says Patrick Oborn, co-founder of Telarus and patent holder of GeoQuote. “We started with near-instant pricing of internet access circuits, then we moved up-market to show fiber routes and lit buildings for high-speed metro Ethernet. Next we created an app so our partners could access this information from their iPhones and Android devices. Now, with the help of VXSuite, we’ll take things to a whole new level as we give our partners visibility into every aspect of their customer’s unified communications infrastructure. By putting data in the hands of our partners, they become indispensable to their clients in a professional services setting. We believe the person who possesses all of the data will, in the end, win – and keep – the business.”
