AOTMP Announces Telecom Management Award Winners

Information-services company AOTMP named the winners of its Industry Excellence Awards and the Efficiency First Early Adopter Awards at a ceremony held at the AOTMP 2013 Conference.

Johnson Controls took home the prize for Global TEM/WMM Excellence for outstanding international fixed and mobile telecom management performance. Through its management of over 60,000 mobile devices in 50 countries, Johnson Controls was able to realize $3.5 million in annual savings, while increasing the efficiency of workflow management and the optimization of usage-based plans.

Gamestop grabbed the Fixed & Mobile Business Excellence Award. Through a four-pronged approach, which included the validation of vendor charges, the elimination of unnecessary services, the assessment of vendors and the negotiation of contracts, Gamestop was able to drive unnecessary expenses out of its telecom environment, resulting in $4 million in annual savings.

Ford Motor Company was hailed for Wireless Mobility Excellence for its improvement of company-wide communication and productivity across 14,500 devices, four carriers and 1,500 cost centers.

The Efficiency First Early Adopter Award winners were acknowledged for embodying the values and philosophies of the Efficiency First Framework. Wireless Analytics was awarded the Efficiency First Framework Supplier Early Adopter Award and JPMorgan Chase took home the Efficiency First Framework Enterprise Early Adopter Award.

"Our award winners represent a commitment to excellence in creating telecom environments that not only meet, but exceed, technical, financial and operational objectives, ultimately driving sustainable impacts," said AOTMP CEO Tim Lybrook.
