MetTel Chooses AirWatch for Mobile Device Management

Metropolitan Telecommunications announced the selection of AirWatch -- a provider of mobile device security and management -- for its mobile device management service.

Metropolitan Telecommunications announced the selection of AirWatch — a provider of mobile device security and management — for its mobile device management service. With this partnership, the telecommunications provider is offering MDM at no charge with certain MetTel Nationwide Mobile Service packages.  As the bring your own device trend increases throughout enterprises, MetTel sought a mobile device management provider that could offer great service to its customers.

By selecting AirWatch, MetTel was able to save as much as $1,000 a month for a company with a mobile workforce of 200, according to MetTel. MetTel MDM is included in the company’s wireless service packages, without any extra fees. (Check out MSPmentor’s recent profile of Airwatch here)

MetTel MDM provides IT administrators with the ability to enroll devices, configure and update devices settings over-the-air, enforce security policies, and remotely lock and wipe managed devices. The company’s solution is offered across all operating systems, wireless networks, and devices.

This MDM addition comes after MetTel introduced its MetTel Mobile Integration and MetTel Wireless Backup. MetTel offers traditional voice services to a Global MPLS Network and VoIP technologies. The company provides services to clients in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. MetTel’s partner program operates on the agent model and more information about it is available at the company’s website.
