By providing visibility over devices in Mary Gurney’s workforce, essential services such as fixing potholes, collecting household waste, repairing burst water mains, and handling customer care calls, which are also services of a municipality, are being delivered more effectively. The company’s devices are also used for updating work-order management systems and delivering progress reports for customers to view and examine. MobiControl’s centralized remote control and troubleshooting features assist workers with these tasks.

MobiControl provides IT departments with features that include Secure Content Locker, Device Lockdown, Real-Time Remote Control, Location Tracking, Geofencing, Enterprise App Store, and more. These features assist managed service providers with managing both corporate, and employee-owned devices, which help with the growing BYOD, or bring-your-own-device trend.

May Gurney said that the deployment time of a new Motorola MC75 unit has been reduced by 88 percent, from four hours to 30 minutes. The company plans to increase deployments in the coming months.

The May Gurney deal is just SOTI MobiControl’s most recent customer win. The company has  scored other new customers recently. Stay tuned to MSPmentor for more news on this and other mobile device management companies.
