Bandwidth is rolling out a new bring your own carrier (BYOC) solution for RingCentral.

Bandwidth will extend its Duet solution to include RingCentral’s Message Video Phone (MVP) Platform. Large enterprise customers can move their legacy, on-premises business communications to the cloud. And they can do it with more flexibility and control.

Duet for RingCentral gives Fortune Global 2000 companies the ability to address migration challenges. It does so by enabling enterprises to unbundle telephony from their UC platform and choose Bandwidth as the carrier.

Duet for RingCentral utilizes software-driven tooling alongside Bandwidth’s open cloud communications platform. That provides access to phone numbers globally, carrier-grade SIP trunking, business text messaging and emergency services. As a result, global enterprises looking for a new UCaaS platform can reduce complexity, maintain greater control, and better prepare for future growth as they move business communications to the cloud.

Opportunities for Bandwidth and RingCentral Partners

RingCentral’s Mike Conlon

Mike Conlon is vice president of global strategic partnerships at RingCentral.

“Both companies can leverage their own respective partner communities with a joint BYOC/UC solution to customers looking to separate the transport from the software,” he said. “For example, [a] Bandwidth partner has a UC opportunity within a Bandwidth existing customer. That partner now has an additional option to provide to their customer.”

RingCentral provides message, video and phone services integrated with enterprise applications. Bandwidth provides advanced emergency calling capabilities. It also provides a global IP voice network that reaches 60-plus countries.

“This solution is designed for large organizations looking to reduce migrations hurdles as they seek to reduce complexities and achieve a more global, scalable communications solution,” Conlon said.

Simplified Cloud Migration

John Bell is Bandwidth‘s chief product officer.

“Compounding the unique challenges large organizations face migrating and modernizing their communications stack, is the equally important driver to facilitate global communications at scale,” he said. “Bandwidth’s BYOC solution for RingCentral will not only simplify the move to the cloud, but also aims to deliver a single pane of glass to global organizations as they look to centralize communications and realize greater operational efficiencies.”
