Network optimization solutions and SD-WAN provider Bigleaf Networks has hired Steve Braverman as its chief sales officer.

Braverman in his new role will oversee Bigleaf’s partner community and sales team. The company noted in its announcement that he will work to modernize sales operations and sales strategy. The appointment comes not long after Bigleaf named a new CEO and two other C-level executives.

Bigleaf’s Steve Braverman

According to Bigleaf, Braverman started engaging with the vendor as an investor in 2016. Moreover, he started advising the company in January 2023. Braverman had been working through  channel consultancy X4 Advisors (formerly known as EagleTeq Advisors), which he co-founded in 2021. Many members of the consultancy have advised vendors and ultimately moved into a full-time role.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in March.

Braverman pointed to the increasingly important role of the internet in hosting mission-critical applications as a driver for joining Bigleaf.

“Bigleaf is leading the way in revolutionizing network optimization, and I look forward to working with the leadership team to innovate and further the company’s reach into new markets,” Braverman said.

Braverman founded and led the tech services distributor X4 Solutions, which sold to Sandler Partners in 2016.

Bigleaf’s Greg Davis

“With his wealth of experience and expertise in the channel, Steve is the perfect candidate to help us continue to accelerate our growth and achieve our strategic objectives throughout 2023 and beyond,” Bigleaf CEO Greg Davis said. “We look forward to working with him to drive innovation and expand our reach even further.”

Additional Personnel Changes

Bigleaf also hired Kayla Roarty as director of channel sales for the East.

Roarty had been working as vice president of channel sales at Logically. She had directed East Coast channel sales for Genesys from 2020-2022. Prior to that, Roarty worked at Intelisys for 11 years, enabling partners in the East and Southeast regions. She participated in the Channel Futures Marketing Roundtable last fall.

In addition, Greg Davis took the reins as Bigleaf’s CEO in September 2022. He started as a board member at Bigleaf in 2020. Lori Stout joined as chief marketing officer in 2022, and David Idle joined as chief product officer in January. Bigleaf in February announced the appointment of Timothy Meyer as vice president of transformation and Sharon Svensson as vice president of demand generation.

As of March, co-founders Joel Mulkey and Jeff Burchett had moved to board member positions.

Bigleaf runs channel programs for both agents/TSDs and MSPs. The company recently announced a supplier agreement with Bridgepointe Technologies.
