October’s Channel People on the Move
October proved to be a big month for new hires — at master agents and tech distributors in particular.
WTG hired a new VP of sales operations. ScanSource divvied up one part of its business between a pair of co-presidents. And Intelisys named a senior manager for strategic partner development — just to name a few.
Our image gallery includes new sales and channel leaders, VPs, presidents and more. Some have a day-to-day impact on the channel, while others make decisions that affect partners over the long haul.
This list is by no means comprehensive, but it gives you a nice sampling of the new hires and promotions in October. You’re sure to see people you know.

Channel People on the Move: Intelisys’ G.R. Heryford
Intelisys bolstered its presence in the Northwest by hiring a senior manager for strategic partner development.
The communications distributor entrusted G.R. Heryford with supporting partners in Oregon and Washington state. He has about 20 years of experience in telecommunications and the channel, having founded two telecom agencies. Heryford is reporting to J.R. Cook, whom Intelisys promoted this past summer to oversee partners and sales in the western U.S.

Channel People on the Move: ScanSource’s Paul Constantine
Intelisys’ buyer, ScanSource, appointed veteran channel executive Paul Constantine as co-president of its worldwide barcode, networking and security segment.
Constantine will continue to serve as president of the ScanSource POS and barcode business unit in the United States and Canada.

Channel People on the Move: ScanSource’s Tony Sorrentino
ScanSource’s other newly appointed co-president of worldwide barcode, networking and security is Tony Sorrentino.
Like Constantine, he will hold a dual role with the company, hanging onto his position as president of the ScanSource networking and security business unit in the United States.

Channel People on the Move: WTG’s Julie Dzubay
Julie Dzubay, Electric Lightwave/Integra Telecom’s former director of channel sales operations and development, joined WTG as its vice president of sales operations.
Dzubay is responsible for overseeing the company’s sales organization. She reports directly to Vince Bradley, WTG’s CEO. With Electric Lightwave/Integra Telecom, Dzubay managed a team of six inside channel managers and oversaw general sales operations.

Channel People on the Move: TBI’s Donna Chaillet
Donna Chaillet is the newest national channel manager to join the TBI team. She is based in New Jersey.
Chaillet’s career started at Verizon, where she spent 25 years and held a number of roles in channel sales. From there, she went to Mitel, where she was a channel account manager with a strong focus on cloud sales. Bringing to TBI a particular expertise in data networks and cloud services, Chaillet will be responsible for driving revenue through strategic partnerships and helping partners to develop their business plans.

Channel People on the Move: FreeConferenceCall’s Josh Lowenthal
Josh Lowenthal, longtime chief operating officer at FreeConferenceCall.com, became the company’s president.
Lowenthal continues to oversee all retail and wholesale worldwide operations, global expansion strategy and business-development opportunities. In his new role, he takes on responsibilities for the overall business strategy, leading the company’s vision and stimulating innovation in product development, marketing and sales, profitability and market leadership.

Channel People on the Move: Spectralink’s Bill Foster
Spectralink replaced its North American SELECT Program with its new Engage Channel Partner Program for North American resellers and distributors.
The company also hired new sales and channel leadership, including Bill Foster as director of channel sales. He spent the last 10 years as VP of sales at Ascom Wireless Solutions.

Channel People on the Move: Spectralink’s Scott Thie
… Scott Thie, who was tapped as Spectralink’s VP of North America sales.
Thie’s resume includes 17 years in sales positions at Panasonic. He also was a channel manager with QMS Inc.

Channel People on the Move: Trustwave’s Jim Ritchings
Managed security provider Trustwave, with more than 1,000 channel partners worldwide, appointed Jim Ritchings as SVP of worldwide channel sales. Previously, Ritchings held the same title at F5 Networks, where he was responsible for F5’s worldwide channel strategy.
Trustwave last month expanded its global network of nine federated advanced security operations centers.

Channel People on the Move: Nexsan’s Victoria Grey
Victoria Grey returned to storage provider Nexsan as chief marketing officer, responsible for all worldwide marketing, including awareness, demand generation, strategic positioning, and channel enablement. Key to all of her activities will be the promotion and expansion of Unity, the company’s Hyper-Unified Storage product.
She comes back to Nexsan after roles at Legato, EMC, Quantum and Hypergrid (Gridstore). She led the marketing organization at Nexsan as SVP from 2010-2013.
Channel People on the Move: VeriStor’s Jessica Garrett
VeriStor Systems, the provider of virtual infrastructure and cloud services, added Jessica Garrett as VP of marketing. She joined VeriStor from Arris. where she was director of marketing, global brand and campaign strategy.
At Veristor, Garrett is focused on creating compelling, high-impact marketing programs that drive sales and expand VeriStor’s market presence.
Channel People on the Move: Cyara’s James Isaacs
James Isaacs is the new president at Cyara, responsible for the company’s global sales, marketing, customer support, customer success and professional services, and advancing Cyara’s global revenue growth. He provides Cyara with market strategy, corporate performance and global operations expertise.
He comes to Cyara from Mocana Corp., the IoT software provider, where he was CEO. Cyara offers an automated customer experience testing, discovery, and monitoring platform.
Channel People on the Move: CyrusOne’s John Gould & Brent Behrman
CyrusOne, the global data-center services provider, hired John Gould (left) as its new executive vice president of global sales and Brent Behrman as executive vice president of strategic sales. Both industry veterans will be tasked with overseeing the continued global and enterprise growth of CyrusOne’s sales operations.
Prior to joining CyrusOne, Gould served as president of North American operations for Stratasys. He also spent 14 years at Dell, part as head of the computing behemoth’s IT consulting division.
Behrman most recently was senior VP for Compass Datacenters, overseeing the company’s sales organization with a focus on leading channel and direct sales efforts. Behrman also worked with Digital Realty for more than six years.
