BeyondTrust’s Rob Spee

As senior vice president of global channels, Spee will focus on expanding market share through BeyondTrust’s global partner ecosystem.

BeyondTrust will continue to build on its momentum in the channel, and look at how it engages and enables partners. That includes utilizing intellectual property and helping partners strategically and financially.

Spee brings more than 25 years of experience leading successful channel organizations.

“We have a strong foundation of channel sales and partners to build upon,” he said. “We’re expanding our partner strategy and partner program from the classic transactional channel to a much more diversified partner ecosystem. We’re investing in the program, team and tools to engage regional and global system integrators (GSIs), MSPs, technology alliance partners and cloud service providers.”

Previously, Spee was OutSystems’ regional vice president of Americas channels. He helped modernize its global strategy strategy and partner ecosystem. That included resellers, regional and global SIs, MSPs and cloud providers.

Top Priorities

Spee said he has three items at the top of his list.

“First, optimize our existing distributor/reseller channels,” he said. “Second, launch our GSI and MSP partner programs. And third, align our internal teams to support this expanded partner ecosystem and drive partner success.”

Regardless of its competition, BeyondTrust’s plan is to provide partners with the most innovative, comprehensive platform for privileged access management (PAM), and the “flexibility to work with us in multiple go-to-market motions,” Spee said.

“And we’ll be investing in their success with additional sales, pre-sales and post-sales enablement and other resources,” he said.

Spee said his previous roles provided valuable experience in driving growth in the traditional resell channel. He also gained experience in building global channel strategy with a “modern partner program that attracted a comprehensive partner ecosystem.”

Brent Thurrell is BeyondTrust‘s chief revenue officer.

“I am thrilled to have Rob join our team,” he said. “Rob is a seasoned executive with the skill, relationships and talent we need to drive our continued market leadership by executing on a global channel strategy. His vast experience will guide BeyondTrust and our global partners, providing the technical direction, sales alignment, business enablement, and the financial rewards that will assure them that BeyondTrust is a strategic and valued PAM partner.”
