McAfee’s Gee Rittenhouse
McAfee Enterprise offers security service edge (SSE) solutions. Expect STG to launch the McAfee Enterprise SSE portfolio as a separate business later this quarter. That includes cloud access security broker (CASB), secure web gateway (SWG) and zero trust network access (ZTNA).
The rest of McAfee Enterprise and FireEye have formed Trellix, a $2 billion cybersecurity titan. STG acquired McAfee Enterprise and FireEye last year.
As CEO, Rittenhouse will focus on growing the business. McAfee Enterprise has about 3,000 SSE customers and 700 employees.

“Business-critical data is everywhere,” Rittenhouse said. “It resides in cloud applications, cloud infrastructure, data centers and devices. It is essential for companies to know where their data is, who has access to it and protect it. Our unique, data-centric approach simplifies these essential functions and allows companies to accelerate their digital transformation and secure their hybrid workforce. It is a privilege to join this amazing team.”
Security and Cloud Expertise
Rittenhouse brings more than 20 years of security and cloud expertise. He most recently was senior vice president and general manager of Cisco’s security business group. Prior to Cisco, Rittenhouse served as president of Bell Labs.
William Chisholm is STG’s co-founder and managing partner.
“The SSE architecture is one of the most important markets in security, requiring intense focus, investment and skill sets,” he said. “Gee is a proven technology leader with a distinguished track record of innovation, talent development and a deep knowledge of cloud security. We’re excited to partner with him in leading a separate entity focused on this very distinct customer problem.”
