The cloud communications provider RingCentral honored Telarus as a platinum partner.

Telarus signed an agreement with RingCentral in 2016 and has doubled its business with the vendor twice in the last two years. Telarus CEO Adam Edwards thanked the master agent’s base of 4,000 partner base for contributing to the growth.

“We appreciate the trust they’ve placed in us when recommending RingCentral’s world-class unified communications as a service (UCaaS) and contact center as a service (CCaaS) services to their domestic and international clients who are successfully transforming their digital infrastructure to leverage the benefits of the cloud,” Edwards said. “While RingCentral solutions really do sell themselves, it’s the RingCentral people behind the scenes that make this kind of success possible.”

Zane Long, RingCentral’s senior vice president of global channel sales, credited Telarus for its cloud, unified communications and contact center expertise. RingCentral has also bestowed platinum status on ConvergeOne and Carousel Industries in the last month.

“Our partners play a huge role in our overall growth strategy and Telarus being named a Platinum Partner is a testament to how much we have achieved together,” Long said. “Telarus has really embraced our UCaaS and CCaaS solutions to help their customers take advantage of the flexibility and cost savings that these solutions provide. Telarus even uses our solutions themselves, which is a huge demonstration of the value that we bring.”

The master agent recently earned platinum partner recognition from Masergy.

Telarus this week also announced the hiring of Jamie DeWitt. He’ll serve as senior partner development manager for Northern Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. DeWitt brings a deep UCaaS background, having served as a regional channel manager at Talkdesk and Broadvoice. He also worked as a senior cloud solutions executive at Vonage.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in October.

“The guy is a winner; we’ve known and worked with Jaime for quite some time and know firsthand how well he performs when it comes to helping channel partners expand their UCaaS and CCaaS sales,” said Michael Gottwalt, Telarus’s central area vice president.

The company recently hired a senior partner development manager for Arizona.

Telarus last month announced that it was purchasing Cynergy’s operations team.
