ECi Software Solutions has added Auckland, New Zealand-based remote monitoring and management (RMM) and service desk solution provider Naverisk to its managed services portfolio. Here's everything you need to know.
ECi Software Solutions has added Auckland, New Zealand-based remote monitoring and management (RMM) and service desk solution provider Naverisk to its managed services portfolio. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Ron Books, ECi’s CEO, said his company plans to combine the Naverisk RMM Suite with ECi’s FMAudit managed print services and e-automate service management solutions to “create a powerhouse option” for managed service providers (MSPs).
“We consider the addition of Naverisk to ECi a vital component in our efforts to further support and strengthen our service technology customers,” he said in a prepared statement. “With a web-based cloud model and a reputation for being powerful and easy to use, [Naverisk] is the perfect complement to our existing products.”
So what does the acquisition mean for MSPs? Books pointed out that managed print service providers currently use ECi products to collectively monitor more than 6 million devices globally, and his company’s acquisition of Naverisk ultimately could help these service providers leverage new RMM tools to better support their customers.
In addition, Naverisk CEO Jon Kalaugher noted that joining ECi will give his company “a framework for even more accelerated growth and the tremendous opportunity to create world-class solutions for MSPs.”
Naverisk said its RMM suite can help MSPs streamline their IT operations, which is reflected in the company’s most recent RMM platform release – Naverisk 2014 R2.
Naverisk 2014 R2 features TeamViewer and ScreenConnect remote control integrations that provide one-click access and auto discovery of any existing TeamViewer or ScreenConnect installations on managed devices, according to Naverisk.
This release also includes a network probe feature to fast track customer on-boarding, Naverisk said, along with enhanced native remote control capabilities and professional services automation (PSA) integration improvements.
