Passportal Integrates With ConnectWise
Passportal has announced an integration with ConnectWise that is designed to simplify the customer onboarding process for managed service providers (MSPs), independent software vendors (ISVs), IT service providers and value-added resellers (VARs). Here's a look at what the new integration has to offer.
Passportal has integrated with professional services automation (PSA) platform provider ConnectWise to help channel partners streamline the customer onboarding process.
The Canadian password management software company said its new ConnectWise integration allows managed service providers (MSPs), independent software vendors (ISVs), IT service providers and value-added resellers (VARs) to simplify and speed up the onboarding process for customers.
Passportal also noted that service technicians can leverage auto-created direct links in ConnectWise that correlate to the passwords for each customer in Passportal, which provides these techs with quick, easy access to passwords.
“We’ve streamlined across ConnectWise,” Passportal CEO Colin Knox told MSPmentor. “We want to give customers better control of passwords and ensure that they can share information with their technicians in a secure manner.”
Passportal originally provided MSPmentor with details about a possible ConnectWise integration last October. The password management software company worked with MSPs to develop the ConnectWise integration, Knox said, and will continue to collaborate with service providers as it launches new integrations.
Knox said Passportal has spoken with several remote monitoring and management (RMM) vendors about possible integrations as well.
“Our partners want RMM tools, so we’re looking at and talking to vendors in the RMM industry,” he said.
MSPs should expect several Passportal announcements over the next few weeks, too.
Passportal is set to debut a new user interface (UI) later this month and expects to announce a new resale model that will allow channel partners to resell Passportal’s password management software to customers and businesses directly.
Knox said Passportal also plans to launch a new version of its password management software, Passportal 3.0, by the end of March.
