Buenos dias, amigos, and bienvenido to this week’s Channel Partner Program Roundup, our weekly collection of channel-related news and nuggets. This week we’ve got tidbits from Mozy and Asigra, so let’s saddle up and make a run for the border.

Mozy: The data access and backup provider announced several milestones reached by its Mozy Reseller Program in 2012, including the doubling of Mozy’s channel business over the past three years, the introduction of new pricing and new tools for resellers, and Mozy’s growth into new markets. According to the company, demand has increased in the SMB space for its professional-grade online data backup and access solutions.

So far in 2012 the Mozy Reseller Program has provided its 5,000-plus resellers:

  • The debut of the Mozy Reseller Program and portal 2.0 in the U.S. and Europe

  • Lead sharing offered by Mozy for the first time

  • New lead management tools (including opportunity registration) to help resellers grow their businesses with Mozy

  • New channel-friendly pricing for MozyPro and MozyEnterprise

  • The debut of fully customizable, co-branded marketing and sales materials

  • A new MDF program

“We’ve never been more laser-focused as a company on selling Mozy through the channel than we are right now,” said Darrell Gamble, director of Channel Sales at Mozy. “Since we rolled out our all-new reseller portal and new pricing for MozyPro and MozyEnterprise earlier in the year, the feedback from our resellers has been tremendous. And it’s the ‘rolling thunder’ kind of positive feedback, which is only going to build as the Mozy Reseller Program continues to grow and expand its opportunities for MSPs and IT resellers in the years to come.”

Asigra: The cloud backup, recovery and restore software provider has received the Frost & Sullivan 2012 North American New Product Innovation Award in Cloud-Based Data Management for the development of Asigra Cloud Backup.

“The rise in the adoption of virtual infrastructures, entry of employee mobile devices to the workplace, and unprecedented scaling of enterprise data have compelled chief information officers of enterprises to re-think their data management strategies with regard to data protection and recovery,” said Charanya Balasubramanian, senior research analyst at Frost & Sullivan. “To navigate this market challenge, Asigra delivers world-class cloud backup and recovery software to equip service providers and organizations with an efficient approach to data protection for business continuity and disaster recovery.”

“We are pleased to see Asigra Cloud Backup receive this prestigious award for leadership in the constantly evolving area of data protection,” said David Farajun, CEO, Asigra. “Our ability to meet the broadest mix of customer requirements with software that is regularly updated with innovative capabilities and a delivery/deployment model to tackle heterogeneity and capacity demands without compromise, have positioned Asigra at the top of its game.”

And that’s this week’s Channel Partner Program Roundup. But check in next week ’cause there’s more where this came from. Until then, buenas noches.
