Ingram Micro, PSSC Labs Partner on HPC Prodcuts
July 5, 2012
Technology distributor Ingram Micro (NYSE: IM) is reaching out to VARs and system builders with a new portfolio of high performance computing (HPC) solutions and services. System ArchiTECHS member PSSC Labs, a national service provider of HPC solutions, designed the products exclusively for Ingram Micro.
Leveraging its alliance with PSSC Labs, Ingram Micro’s line of Artizen HPC offerings include high performance servers, workstations and customizable supercomputing clusters, as well as computing integration and software installation services.
Demand for HPC is rising as the need for greater usage capacity grows, creating new opportunities for the channel. Ingram’s partnership with PSSC Labs is designed to help VARs and system builders navigate the often-complex challenges around organizational scale.
“Having the support of Ingram Micro and PSSC Labs will give channel partners the backing and go-to-market strength they need to compete head-to-head in this market and provide clients greater business value and more personalized service,” PSSC Labs Vice President of Sales and Marketing Alex Lesser said in prepared remarks.
PSSC Labs also offers CBeST, a suite of software packages, utilities and custom scripts configured to ease the cluster administration process.
In addition to the HPC space, Ingram Micro is also putting a focus on the mobile market, announcing earlier this week it had acquired wireless device lifecycle services management provider BrightPoint.
