Analytics software provider Recommind has launched its first partner program aimed at extending the reach of its technology to a larger base of customers.

Steve Kennedy, Recommind’s senior vice president of field operations, tells Channel Partners the strategy for the Alliance Partner Program is to work with a small, vetted group of partners “who are the best in class and with whom we build a tight and trusted relationship.”

“To date, we have acted carefully in selecting 20 such companies and there are many more who want to be part of the group,” he added. “We have already exceeded our 2015 revenue target for the program.”

The company’s Axcelerate platform is frequently used by in-house counsel and compliance officers to quickly find the most relevant documents during litigation and internal investigations.

The program marks the first time Recommind has made its technology combined with services available through partners, Kennedy said.

“This program will greatly expand the number of discovery-solution, managed-review and data-collection partners that we work with,” he said. “We’ve spent the last three years making Axcelerate an affordable and easy-to-use product, delivered in a SaaS model, and we believe this is the right time to introduce it to a wider audience.”

The program includes three types of partners: discovery solution partners, which provide advisory services along with complete, end-to-end eDiscovery offerings; managed review partners, which use Axcelerate to review collected data for relevancy and privilege; and data collection partners, which use forensic practices to collect electronically stored information for ingestion into Axcelerate for analysis, review and production.

The program offers service providers a collaborative and supportive channel relationship, according to Recommind. Partners can make use of the company’s hosted infrastructure, a range of sales and marketing tools, and customizable training on the Axcelerate platform.

“The Alliance Partnership Program was built from the ground up using feedback and requests from our customers,” Kennedy said. “We are offering the right solution for the customer based upon their business model — some customers need an on-demand solution, and others need a more predictable subscription eDiscovery model. We have created a program that is flexible, and customer choice and excellent customer experience is our primary concern.”

Recommind’s customers include AstraZeneca, BMW, Cisco, Clifford Chance, Marathon Oil, Morgan Lewis, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Swiss Re, the U.S. Department of Energy, White & Case and WilmerHale.

“Our purpose as an organization is to help our clients be more successful in business,” said Drew Lewis, vice president of innovation and general counsel at Paragon, one of Recommind’s discovery solution partners. “The analytics that make up the DNA of Axcelerate are built for truly understanding complex data rather than simply culling it. This approach resonates with our clients and their successes illustrate why.”
