Siemens AudioPresence HD Answers the Call for Topline Audio

If Verizon hadn’t nabbed it first, Siemens would probably like to ask you, “Can you hear me now?” The answer, if you’re using Siemens AudioPresence HD, should be an unequivocal “yes.” AudioPresence HD is available now for all OpenStage IP phones, bringing a higher level of fidelity to IP communications. According to Siemens, AudioPresence HD is designed to maximize user productivity, and high-quality audio calls equate to better understanding — when you don’t have to repeat yourself, that’s more efficient. But it’s more than that, really. I know all too well what it’s like to be on a conference call with multiple people using multiple different devices that have different fidelity and volumes. It’s annoying. AudioPresence HD is designed to eliminate those problems, leveling out audio and making it clearer and more “natural” sounding.

That’s good for our (ahem) aging workforce, which Siemens said needs a little more help these days with their audio. The Baby Boomers have hit retirement age, but they’re not retiring. AudioPresence HD is branded as a way to mitigate the inevitable issue of age-related hearing loss.

AudioPresence HD uses the G.722 standard for high definition audio, while leveraging the technology inside the IP phone on which it has been deployed. That includes noise “rejection,” echo elimination and more. All of this is available to the end user “at no additional cost for the functionality.” As previously mentioned, it’s available on all OpenStage IP phones, including the new OpenStage 5 entry-level IP phone.

Siemens Enterprise Communications partners can push the updates directly to customers’ phones. Easy enough? I hear that.
