ADTRAN has upgraded its virtual WLAN platform in ways intended to benefit VARs and MSPs.

The equipment maker, which features an enterprise practice, said on Monday the vWLAN product includes built-in high availability, a new GUI and customizable dashboards for reporting and historical views.

The enhancements come as ADTRAN partners offer cloud-hosted Wi-Fi and need to eliminate challenges such as connectivity disruptions and, at the same time, consolidate the management of multiple networks.

“vWLAN now offers a unique combination of business continuity support, flexibility and customization that fits the distinctive business needs of the managed service provider,” said Mads Lillelund, general manager of WLAN solutions for ADTRAN. “As a result, these providers can achieve greater control, react to issues faster and optimize network performance.”
