Jamcracker JSDN 6.0 Enables Global Cloud Brokerages

By Khali Henderson

Jamcracker announced Tuesday the release of Jamcracker Services Delivery Network 6.0,  which includes globalization features enabling cloud services brokerages to more efficiently deliver services to international businesses.

JSDN 6.0 now offers the capability to set languages, currencies, time zones and date formats based on local regions.

This enables cloud brokers to offer their services in multiple countries while maintaining one central product catalog instead of deploying multiple instances, explained Mahendra Soneji, vice president of product management at Jamcracker, in an interview with Channel Partners. This, in turn, reduces capital and operational costs, speeds time to market and improves customer satisfaction, he noted.

The new release also includes improved tax management capabilities. Soneji explained that previously there was just one tax and the broker would have to calculate into the price the total tax. Now, JSDN can make the specific calculations for taxes in various regions and include those on the customers’ bills.

JSDN 6.0 also contains 18 new REST APIs to improve the integration of existing applications.

Jamcracker enables telcos, IT distrubors, systems integrators and other organizations to deliver cloud services through a brokerage model.
