Lumen Technologies’ networking, edge cloud and security products and services are now available via a new digital buying experience.

These products can now be configured, ordered, purchased and deployed through a new self-service online portal. Businesses can access the portal control center for resources to help them learn more about these products. They can also see pricing options, request a quote and talk with a live representative for assistance.

The digital buying experience will be available to Lumen partners in early 2021.

CenturyLink rebranded its enterprise business to Lumen in September. Garrett Gee is Lumen’s senior vice president of indirect sales.

Here’s our most recent list of new products and services that agents, VARs, MSPs and other partners offer.

“Our transformation to Lumen represents a fundamental shift that involved years building software and decades building infrastructure,” he said. “The services we provide now and the ones we develop in the future will be virtualized through automation. And the Lumen platform is how we will deliver solutions in a much more integrated and efficient manner. This focus on self-service and digital delivery extends to our partner community.”

New Solutions

The Lumen digital buying experience gives customers access to a portfolio of new solutions:

  • Hyper WAN provides a network platform for connecting multiple office locations to internet and MPLS IP VPN services.

  • Dynamic Connections IP VPN connects a business’ WAN to cloud environments in real time via secure private connections.

  • Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Hyper protects internet applications from increasingly sophisticated attacks. It does so with advanced detection and mitigation capabilities.

“Our focus at Lumen is on providing a customer experience that consistently delivers reliable and secure solutions, and makes it easy for our partners to do business with us,” Gee said. “The digital buying experience represents another step toward that goal. We are bringing critical services in a way that is simple and convenient, which is a significant benefit for our partners.”

Lumen wants to help its partners win in “today’s rapidly changing technology landscape and do amazing things together,” he said.

In September, Lumen introduced its technology platform for delivering application and data services.

“This do-it-yourself experience is one that our clients have been requesting to help them be more responsive to their specific business needs,” said Shaun Andrews, Lumen’s chief marketing officer. “The quick deployment of services can help businesses do amazing things in this 4th Industrial Revolution.”
