Silver Peak is leaning further on the channel to scale its operations.

The vendor will assist resellers of its SD-WAN offering through its new Authorized Development Partner (ADP) program. Program members are a trained extension of Silver Peak’s installation team, according to Nick Martin, senior director of deployment engineering. ADP members present conflict-free collaboration to resale partners by only selling human-based services.

“We’ve picked a few partners that we think can provide services-only to reseller partners and customers, and really have groomed them to be able to do these installs up to the level that we would do ourselves,” Martin said.

Irvine, California-based FireOwls Corporation is participating in the integration program. The company lists itself as a deployment provider of Cisco, VMware, EMC, AWS and other vendors.

Here’s our most recent list of important channel-program changes you should know.

“We pride ourselves on large-scale deployments with zero downtime when integrating the Silver Peak Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN solution into our customer’s wide area network edge.” FireOwls CEO Henry Chan said. “As a member of the Silver Peak Authorized Deployment Partner program, we are in a strong position to assist enterprises with accelerated global deployments, so that their businesses can accelerate time to value from their SD-WAN solution deployments.”

Martin tells Channel Partners that ADP partners must meet criteria that include professional services, security and other skills. Silver Peak brings them to industry summits and gives them early code releases. Martin says the initiative reassures partners that the manufacturer is supporting them. That’s important because Silver Peak sees the channel as one of its most logical and important means of scaling.

“We’re a smallish, soon to be very big manufacturer, so we have that reseller’s back by providing them a place to go to get things done,” Martin said.

Silver Peak also listed Cavell Group, Geode Networks, Traversa Solutions and Velociti as members of the ADP program.

Silver Peak announced last week that it has surpassed 1,000 business customers using EdgeConnect. We interviewed the company last month about its security segmentation and goal to upend Cisco.
