Telarus has continued its expansion by hiring two more senior partner development managers.

The Utah-based master agent hired Bridget Kang to support partners in Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, and western Pennsylvania, and tapped Stephen Stull for Georgia. The new employees will recruit subagents and help the existing base build their technology portfolios. Cybersecurity and cloud contact center are growing faster than any other area of technology brokerage, according to Telarus.

Telarus’ Bridget Kang

Kang most recently worked for Nextiva as a channel sales manager. She served as regional channel director in the greater Chicago area for Nitel. Her résumé includes a four-year stint at Windstream and seven years at Konica Minolta.

Mike Gottwalt, Telarus’ central area vice president, said Kang is well-versed in UCaaS, network and SD-WAN sales.

“She’ll be focused on getting our valued partners in the ‘Rust Belt’ – partners who have never had direct Telarus representation – the education and resources they need …” he said.

Kang, who resides in Detroit, said she had been waiting for an opportunity to join Telarus. She collaborated with Telarus partners when she worked at Nextiva, Nitel and Windstream.

“The culture they’ve built over 17 years, and the solid reputation of always innovating to help their partners punch outside their weight class, has attracted me, and many of the industry’s top trusted advisers and subject-matter experts. I’m excited to help tell the Telarus story of building software tools for partners, hiring the top engineers in the business [and] building financial programs to help partners grow,” Kang said. “I am ready to tell our partners here in the Rust Belt what can happen if they lean hard into Telarus. This business is all about leverage, relationships and execution, and Telarus has all three.”

Telarus’ Stephen Stull

Stephen Stull has worked in telecommunications for 13 years and channel business development for the last five. He came from West Unified Communications, where he served as a regional channel manager based out of the Atlanta region.

He also worked for Cbeyond, which Birch Communications acquired.

“Stephen came very highly recommended by our Georgia partners who have worked with him during his very successful career supporting Cisco-based UCaaS and SD-WAN sales,” said Ruth Morford, eastern area vice president for Telarus. “He knows this business, he knows who the players are, and most of all, he knows the value Telarus brings to our partners.”

Stull, like Kang has already worked with Telarus partners, and he said he looks forward to accessing the master agent’s 200 technology suppliers.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to help Georgia partners expand beyond their traditional product lines, so they can benefit from the opportunities that the cloud represents,” Stull said.

Telarus earlier this month announced the hire of Brian Ochab, the company’s first regional vice president of Canada. The company announced a shake-up of its regional model in June.
